Pokémon Champions Team Builder Guide
A strong team is six Pokémon that support one another, not simply six individually powerful choices. Start with a clear way to win, then add the speed control, defensive switches, and utility needed to reach it.
Give every Pokémon a job
Common jobs include damage dealer, speed support, Fake Out user, defensive pivot, redirection support, Trick Room setter, and late-game cleaner. A Pokémon can fill more than one role, but every slot should contribute to your main plan.
Check complete matchups
Look beyond type weaknesses. Ask which Pokémon can safely switch into spread attacks, which partner protects your setup turn, and what happens if the opponent changes the weather or reverses speed order.
Test your four-Pokémon selections
Competitive battles often require choosing four from six. Create several lead-and-bench plans instead of relying on one opening. Use PokeNotes Battle Challenges to test those plans and save difficult matchups as battle notes.
